Phulkuri is a Bengali word. The term ‘Phul’ means flower and the ‘kuri’ means bud. Flower blooms from the bud and come into reality with its fragrance spreading over the society. Similarly, the children grownup and finally lead the nation as responsible citizens. |

| Established of Phulkuri Ashar |
| |
"Phulkuri Ashar" is a national children organization of Bangladesh. It working with the boys of schools to build excellent moral character, develop performing quality and good physique with versatile caliber. The organization was established on 28 September 1974. It obtained registration as a national children’s organization from the department of social welfare in 1979. It's Reg. No- D459. |

| It already passed 35 years and By this time Phulkuri has earned a good reputation all over the country. It’s main complain is- “Build thyself to build the world”. |

The aim of "Phulkuri Ashar" is to make the children intelligent, patriot, religious and good human being . Its objectives are to build their moral character and physique thorough educational and physical training programs. |

| Phulkuri has its five point programs, executed through five departments. The five departments are as follows... |

(A) Education and Literary Department: |
| |
Through the activities of this department, Phulkuri wants to develop talents and potentials of its members. This department offers library facilities, organizing literary meetings, training camps, training sessions, educational tours and other programs which help the member to know more, read more and practice more. |

(B) Cultural Department: |
| |
The objective of this department is to save the children from the aggression of so-called modern culture and make them morally developed. Recitation class, Drama
class, Song class, Cultural competition, Cultural week, Tea party, Excursion especially
Boat-journey, Picnic etc. are also including the activities of this department. |

(C) Sports and Physical Exercise Department: |
| |
This department helps children to acquire sporting spirit and physical fitness. There
are two types of activities in this department. One is sports and games, and the other is physical exercise. Every unit of Phulkuri has football, volley-ball, cricket, badminton and other sports materials. They play regularly on the other hand, all the members are bound to participate in weekly physical exercise program at their localities. Phulkuri members participate and do well in national and local parade and physical display competitions. |

(D) Agricultural, Art and Science Department: |
| |
The objective of this department is to make the children interested in Gardening, Arts and scientific Innovation and Discoveries. Phulkuri has a science club, which arranges regular science classes, science seminars and joining in sciences fairs locally and nationally. Our children make handicrafts and other models from clay, still , wood and papers. Every members of Phulkuri has personal a garden and they plant and take care of trees in their gardens. “Phulkuri science club” is registered with the national science museum. The science club has been awarded in national and local science fairs on several occasions. |

(E) Social welfare department: |
| |
This department covers all types of welfare activities, i.e. lending library books, stipends, adult-education programs, distribution of winter clothing’s and relief for the destitute. Phulkuri implements different welfare projects. Phulkuri inspires its members to extend their helping hands to help the distress, needy , handicapped and old people. |

| Special Project of Phulkuri Ashar |

| Phulkuri publishes its monthly magazine “Phukuri” regularly since 1979. Phulkuri Ashar has a publication sell which publishes different forms, book lets, and literatures of the organization, diaries, souvenirs etc. Phulkuri arranges regular classes for literature, science, drawing and painting, song recitation and drama. A large number of member’s participates in these classes to flourish their talents. |

All Phulkuri members are brothers to each other.One must convey ‘salaam’ or greetings to another when they meet each other. |

Always speak the truth and be unique in word and action. |

Respect the other, love the younger and be cordial in dealing with friends. |

At first find out own faults, if any then check the fault of others. |

If a member finds some thing wrong with others, then correct this showing sympathy with out any affront and take it easily. |

Try to avoid quarrelsome situation. |

Study the academic texts regularly. |

Always take care of health and be neat & clean. |

In any program, to take floor or to go outside, take the permission form the chair. |

Serve the people irrespective of caste, creed, religion, tribe etc. |
